I've got this delema and can't decide what to do. Mabee you all can give me a hand in my decision. A buddy of mine asked me if I wanted to go in on a bike ( 81 Honda cb650 custom ). I said sure but $ are kinda tight. He said no problem that he'll buy the bike, bring it over and I can get it runnin. Well I got it were it run good and stops good. Just a few minor thing still need to be done to it. ( head lamp bucket assy., front blinkers, misl. bolts missing that need replaced, float bowl gaskets and either change the exaust or rejet.) The question is this. Should I sell this bike as a whole or should I say screw it and part it out? I asked him, he said "Whatever, Do whatever you want to do" I want this gone from my garage. I hate tearing the thing apart cauz it's pretty complete but he and I could use a little green. Not much is invested here. Price of the bike $250.00 , Total invested in parts $40.00 , Aprox. 10 hrs of labor so far. I know this is a stupid question but I like to see running bike sell as a whole but I also realize that without good repair parts. whole running bikes become whole non running bikes. Also, he has not done anything with the title. SWMBO says keep it for myself but I think that'll make MIYAMI jealous. I don't have a time limit (yet) I've had this in the shop now for about two months. Any suggestions?
