You would figur that after I spent a little over six years in Germany, I would remember how to read. A while back I saw a police kawi sell on Ebay for I think around 10.000.00. As far as the other bike, My brother had one way back when that he would never let me ride let alone sell. So what's he do? he wreaked it and gave it awy in trade for an engine that never ran. Those old Kawi's were nice but I still like MIYAMI.

Some years back I sold my 76 900 so I'd have the money to get my car fixed. That was a big mistake. I lost a good bike to fix a POS car...

Anyway cool looking V8. I always wanted to do that with FZ1000 Yamaha engines. Talk about road wrinkling power... ;o)

I saw a nice Z900 bout a week ago at a bikers meeting. It was a dark green one. Well... I drooled a bit.

My b-i-l (see post in lounge) is trying to deal on a 76 kz-900 which does not run. Dan, (B-I-L\vintage bike mechanic extraodinare) has a way of making these things happen. I'm betting he gets it for nothing, talks me into buying parts for it (he hates the internet, or anything to do with 'puters for that matter) and turns it into another screamer. I've heard these things will rip. Since he makes the deal and does the work, yet I somehow get suckered into financing the resto, true ownership will be in question, but we sure have a good time doing these kinds of things. Our wives, who are sisters btw, truly think we are nuts, and are apearing a little jealous over the bikes. We lay down the wrenches and check-books and remind them that there are many worse ways to have a mid-life crisis. Sometimes they smile and ask questions about the bikes, sometimes they remind us with a simple single fingered hand gesture that they still adore us and the bikes....I think that's what it means anyway.

                  Kawak V8

The V8 comes from a mad guy in the UK who started out making Kawasaki H series two stroke triples a bit more interesting. So there were a few 5 cylinder 2 strokes of various sizes made.

He graduated onto the Zed engine and it appeared as a runner in a standard Z1 frame in some of the UK bike mags and bike shows last year. Looks lovely as a 'together' bike, but I couldn't find any photos on the internet to link to unfortunately.

Last I read about the builder he was going for a V12 double Z1300... but haven't seen that together as yet.
