If you leave your readers where ya left 'em or fer ya youngin's, jus squint a little
and cock yer head to the side of choice, looks real sim'lar to a pre '78 XS 650
Maybe even more like a Benelli 650 Tornado.
These were all cool old bikes. Now, they're mostly old junk. RE can bring you a new one, much like the old one. FORWARD to the PAST.
Ran outta time trying to figure out how to post the pic...

Phil..I think I'm sold on this one and i havent even seen one in person or sat on it.....just a few details that are lacking..but by the time I'm ready they'll have had that service manual translated...
Ben The Manual will come in Urdu or Sanskrit These are made in India.

Kind of blew them off at first. I gave them a 2nd and closer look at Barber. I threw a leg over it. It left me wanting one. I met someone who is a dealer. He said they aren't coming back for warrantee work. Exhaust note is awesome!
Thanks Marty..I know i have my doubts about continuing the sport..however this bike would be so much fun to ride...theres alot of plusses that add up for me....
Looks good in Orange too..

We’re trying to help Ben. He isn’t fixing fuel injectors or carburetors. The Royal Enfield is new. It has three year warranty. It’s relatively light weight. It’s metal, not plastic. $5700 for a new bike. How can you beat that?

Can't go wrong either way. The idea of a more up to date bike is entertaining, but I'd regret selling my F. Too much fun, and something to be proud of. Hey, what fun would it be not having to rebuild and sync 4 carbs be anyway?
How many have the ability to deal with the aspects of fuel injection, should it ever need ?

Not 100% sure but I think I've seen these on the market used in the 4-5K price point.
That would be/is not far from the price of one of our beloved XS11s if mint, actually a like new low mile XS11 might command a higher price ?
Not sure if its a disappointment to me,however I too prefer 2 into 1s on each side over the 4 into 1s...Interstingly in the link here shows the 2 into 1 x2 exhausts.
When Mike Tatkow showed me his new Thruxton (he let me ride it too) he said yeah it's not bad but I need to change the springs, take out the oxygen sensor and about a half dozen other things he said where the bike was lacking. I thought to myself, the cost of all he wanted or thought he needed to do to make the bike right would be about the equivalent of buying the bike at twice what he paid for it.
Somehow I dont think the Interceptor would be like that...but then who really knows yet?
