I know I am not able to ride my 11 right now,I dropped it the last three times I had it out.So I am looking at scooters..the 650 Bergman.Suzuki or the TMAZ by Yamaha..anybody have any experience with these bikes?

Dad had a Vespa. It was fun to ride. That's pretty much everything I know about scooters.

Hey Doug..a Vespa is not what I am looking at...They are real bikes with 530 or 650 cc..big enough to poke along.I just wanna stay within 150 miles of Cincy.Portsmouth OH to Madison IN. Stay at lodges or motels.
The more I learn about them...getting more interested..love my 11 but I can't handle it anymore.
I wanna keep riding and this seems like one viable option to me.Talked to Beechmont Motorsports today..they have a used Yamaha TMAX
I know this is not me but..I wanna ride a bike.

I like the Vino: Classic styling, 127mpg 49cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke with a CVT, belt drive and a generous luggage rack that will carry an entire bottle of wine, cheese and crackers. A full six pack of beer might cause it to strain or pop wheelie-ettes so be careful out there!

I dunno... those scooters look kind of dangerous. And you might have to buy a merry-go-round... scooter stuff

They have plenty of power and better brakes than the 11.They are just a bit more open I admit.I am used to a big ole Vetter with nice saddle bags which makes me feel like a car.I can scale down a little to a 500 or so..Doug you know my style.I don't ride fast but I do dive into corners.
I figure it will take awhile to learn there is no clutch or brake peddle or gear lever.Trying to unlearn over 46 years of riding and learning a new way to ride..hard but doable.I can't give this hobby up,or way of life.

Doug I will call on you you fix the dang thing if some thing breaks

Thanks Hamjam..I have been riding Yamaha since'70 and really lean that way.Anybody who knows me speed is not my high priority.I am the guy who pulls off every little place and takes a pictureI like reliability and Yamaha has done that for me but the Bergman has more storage space,a bit more power for the interstates.I am going out to my Yamaha dealer on friday and have a look see at a used one with 5000 miles on it.My big concern is all the plastic on these dang things..sorrta like a Goldwing.

I have a new used small camper I use alot but..gosh darn't I miss riding a bike.They are bikes but just look like scooters...used to fool me to.
With bike season slowly winding down here a bit I might get a little price break.. If they need one off the floor...will see friday unless I go camping and train watching.

The Bergman is a bike just disguised as a comfy looking couch i looked at them but finally settled on the Nomad been all over the place with it have fun and set your own pace

Yup...a motorcycle disguised a a little bike might be fun.
I just need to pack a little for over nite trips and take pictures.
