Did I break the spark plug cap off the cable when I twisted it? I tend to break things
Idle adjust screw: on the bs38 carbs, screwing the idle screw on the side opens the butterfly holes. I want to know if the screw should be touching the lever at all, how many turns from contact, is it a personal preference for each bike, I do see the manual says idle should be 1200 rpms so should I adjust this screw when rhe bike is running to get to that number?
Good news is I did my first oil change. Used my torque wrench to tighten it to 30.5 lbs, new crushed washers for the oil cap, new oil filter, gasket for the oil filter, since the bike was not running I drained the old oil cold for two days and even dumped a squirt of new oil to clean it out more.
The chike mechanism sucks and gets stuck, so I'm going to disassemble it and clean it. I'd buy the mikesxs choke but heard it sucks worse.
Cant wait for my clymer manual to come in because Haynes is garbage.
