  • Couldn't pass it up......

    1980.......Said it wouldn't run but I got it running...second gear works but I didnt ride it but twenty feet......its a disease.......but I'm happy...

      Yea its an 850...40k miles....paint, exhaust and seat are the only non original parts I know of.......has the original tool kit...needs resto but thats why I picked it up....winters comin.......
      Now I need the rest of the 1980 XSs to complete the set.....

        Very nice indeed. To bad it's not still sporting the original upswept shorty exhaust system.

          Parts are cheaper and more plentiful on eBay than for XS11.

          Congratulations.

          6k RPM in second gear is the highlight for me. Only seems to be that way with the stock exhaust though. The MAC I had on it, like yours, had more low end, but it didn't have that turbo@6k feel.

            I agree Mike, but of-course mine are non-specials, so they are faster just because

              The muffler is falling off....so I'll have to do something there...then if its not fast enough, I'll paint it red......cuz everyone knows.......red is fastest...
