  • 2005 Suzuki Boulevard C50

Does anyone have any experience with the Suzuki Boulevard C50? I may have a chance to snag one as a fix'er-upper. The 800 cc engine is fuel injected...2005 is the first year for that. FI on a bike is a little intimidating for me, but intriguing at the same time. Any thoughts/experiences are greatly appreciated!

    Suzuki m 50

I have limited knowledge of them but do know you need to keep a very close eye on oil consumption...Some one gave me one after it had all of a sudden used a bunch of oil.....and they didn't discover it till too late ...which is why they gave it to me...So if you need most anything else to get yours running let me know...Front end and gas tank are being used all else is up for grabs.....Btw front end WILL fit xs 1100's with minor mods ...

Do a web search on "Suzuki Boulevard stator" buddy of mine went through three of em in a 2-year span, dealer had no answer as to why. No, there were no electrical mods on it.
Former owner, but I have NO PARTS LEFT!

Cool, thanks for the info. this one currently doesn't run according to the guy, but he says he will charge the battery and we can give it a shot. I plan to check it out on Saturday.

        check:
        *oil level
        *maybe compression tester
        *battery voltage

Seems like it could be a can of worms, but I guess we'll see...

You are the winner! Had decent compression, so I tinkered with it a bit and finally got it fired up. It had a pretty bad knock in the bottom end. I'm guessing they ran it out of oil or something. So it's no deal for me....good luck to the person who does get it. Hopefully this guy doesn't try to pull the wool over the eyes of anyone else.

I sure hope he does not con the ignorant into that being a V-twin noise, lol.

yeah, he was like "aww, it just needs a valve adjustment"...

...as it goes knock knock knock and blows blue smoke out the pipes. wow. I put my hand on the case and could just just feel the impacts resonating through.

with all that smoke, I was surprised the compression was still 175 and 153 for the two cylinders. spec is 156 psi minimum. I guess the shavings hadn't killed the cylinder walls yet.
