Just knowing how reliable they are, I might be in the market for one. Hoping to do some research over the next couple of months, and find one for a decent price. Might be willing to travel if the price is right.

Mine has 83K, oil stays 'see-thru' clean in inspection window, and uses absolutely no oil with 6K oil change intervals(Honda reccomends 6-10K intervals). Also like the 48-52mpg@80mph......they ARE a LD riding scoot, and can do it handidly litterally sittin' on top of 7.4gal. of fuel. as you know Ian i had 2 ST1100s which i preferred to the ST13s' my '01 was purrchased with 94000 miles and a thorough stack of maintainence logs that convinced me not to worry abt the mileage...bike had 145000+ when I sold it...they are rock solid hard to go wrong with an ST1980 XS650G Special-Two
