XJ 550 carbs

I have an 82 XJ 550 that I started to work on about two years ago. I had to put the project on the back burner when the wife got pregnant. Anwyay I lost some of the carb parts in this time. I have access to a set of 82 XJ 750 carbs. What i need to know are the carbs from the 750 compatable with the 550 engine?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The 750 carbs are a lot bigger. Keep looking there out there to be found.
