    Model SF

I recently acquired a 1979 Yamaha XS 1100 Eleven Special, Engine- and Frame # 3H4001161 also known as Model SF (Canadian).
My problem is how to make sure I buy the correct spare parts (apart from buying these from the Yamaha dealers, which often times are 5 times as expensive). Sellers’ websites only mention “fits SF” in a very few cases. Which parts listed for “XS 1100” or “XS 1100 S” will fit my bike?
My problem is that I don’t know on which aspects various models differ from each other.

      Model SF

Thanks a lot. I'll study the lists more carefully, but they look promising.
What I need is caliper revision sets front and rear, main brake cylinder revision set rear, brake pads front and rear, tank cover seal ('filler'), air fillter, O-rings for lube oil filter.
Looks like PartsNmore has all this stuff, if parts listed as "S" will do.

        Hey Ben,

I understand your question, in that yours is a Canadian model. Now I know that 90% of the special parts interchange any year. The seat and side covers being the most noticeable exceptions, but there are some items specific to the SF. As for it being a Canadian model, I would suspect only the speedometer is different as your primary measurement of speed is KPH instead of MPH. But I do not know for certain that is the only difference.
