By the way the rear wheel will of course be done in the same Alien Silver overlayed with the Lolly Pop Red Candy powder coat and the swingarm will be gloss black.

But I wanted to incorporate some of the gold to the back of the bike so this is what I am using for a rear sprocket.

      Bling!

I was wondering what color you would be painting the swingarm!

That gold sprocket will look nice against the black swingarm and the red wheel ...

        Not painting!
That is one thing I do make sure of everything is powder coated on this bike.

Once I get my XS1100F stripped down to the frame I will have it powder coated too.

I did have to do something I really hate doing.
Had to grind off some of the powder coat off of the front stop on the neck of the bike so we could weld a piece on there to act as the bump stop for the steering and to have some where to mount the steering damper. Luckily I do have some paint that is color matched as close as possible just to touch places like that up.

        Thanks for looking.

This video is from last summer when we were getting the engine broke in on the dyno.
They are trying to get the air/fuel ratio balanced now and the correct mains and jets in the new CR33's.
I hope to have the final numbers for the engine sometime very soon.

Also did some more disassembly of the XS1100 this weekend.
Got the front and rear wheels off and the head unit and the entire wiring harness.

Okay finally have parts back from Powder coating.
              Everything looks great.
The swingarm is a very glossy black and of course the rear wheel is the Lolly Pop Candy Red.

So hopefully get started this weekend getting everything installed.
The front brake lines I ordered instead of having the one from the master cylinder to the right caliper and the other line going over the fender to the left caliper it has both lines coming out of the master cylinder.

Doesn't matter to me as long as they work.

Well brought her out into the sunshine for the first time in a few months.

It was a horrible mistake now she is covered in a thick blanket of yellow pollen.

But she is my lovely HONDA-BUSA-BANDIT.

Nothing like motorcycle porn in the afternoon.

By the way I have to set the rear tire on a board because the kickstand is now too long and the bike will tip over.

So right now looking at cutting it down and welding back together unless someone knows if any of the adjustable kick stands out there will fit will not much altering.

                    Thanks

Well boys and girls we just hit 90.14 HP and 56.4 ft.lbs of torque.
Stock numbers at the crank from 1981 are 77 HP so about 68 to the wheel. But the closest I have seen to that was a real world 65 HP.
                      Very happy with those numbers.

Here is the brand new relocated ignition switch under the seat area.

New swingarm mounted and spaced also new racing sprocket and pro bolt nuts. Will have to do a few small mods but should be okay.

Here is the new brake set up from a 2000 GSF1200S Bandit.

Here is the rim mounted and spaced and is looking great. Largest tire we can install is a 180. Tire should be in on Tuesday 04/29.

                        Thanks

I hope that the GXSXR1300 front end along with the stock Hayabusa steering damper and the rear heavily braced JMC racing swingarm and the 5 1/2" wide rear wheel will help with the notorious bad handling of these bikes.

The first version looked great but handled horribly.
Especially that 19' front wheel it looked like it was jacked up the wrong way.

By the way had the crap scared out of me the other night.
The tornadoes we had in North Alabama went directly over my friends shop where I have the bike stored and where we are working on it.

Luckily we had no damage but not a mile away there was major damage to a school and houses.

Okay the rear tire has now been installed and the largest we could go with is a 180 because anything else would hit the shock towers and the chain.

The pictures below show the new stance with the tire mounted.

Just have the last few details to get finished and we should be ready to go.
That rear hugger isn't mounted yet it's just laying up against the tire.
Was looking at what kind of spacing we are going to need.
The rear hugger is from an Aprilia motorcycle.

                                Thanks
