I just found your build thread on a café site and that was an awesome build. Very nice job on the bike. How does it run and handle? What kind of numbers did you put down on the dyno tune?Jeff

Okay for a comparison the stock bike came stock around 65 HP to the crank.
The new 2013 Honda CB1100 has about 84.02 HP to the rear wheel.
The new Moto Guzzi V7 has around 40 HP.
My CB985CR is around the 80-82 HP range.
My engine builder says that we thought we had big enough carbs but after all of the porting the engine is getting so much air the carbs can't feed enough gas at WOT. So in reality she probably has more HP to offer.
But I did ride it at Barber's this year and I really don't like the way she sits just too tall and using the original front dual brakes and rear drum the brakes kind of suck to be truthful.
Plus the CB750K has issues with the frame flexing so that is why I am going to go with the TRAC rear swingarm.79 YAMAHA XS1100F

Well it's not much of a build thread.
I had lost my home computer to a hacker and 90% of my early build pictures. So I was very limited on the actual details of the build.
But I did the rolling chasis and the electrical all in my little cubby hole of a garage. Then rolled it up to my engine builder where they finished the install because there was some stuff I couldn't do without the engine.
But we have had a few set backs here and there but with a build like this it's going to happen.
Now I want to change the entire front and rear of the bike. But Dan my engine builder is looking for projects during the winter so he can keep his help on so I figure this will be something to do and keep them busy.
I will be working on the XS11 anyway.
But here is the build thread.

Very, very nice job on the build in every detail. I had only casually heard of water transfer printing or "hydro-dipping", and had never seen it on a bike until your build. Really sharp-looking. And I love those DCC rearsets!!Marco

Nice!
I figured the new front suspension would look good, but WOW! The new forks/brakes/wheel up front
transform the look ... Very cool, Chris! And a major improvement in handling/braking as well.
Look forward to seeing the bike finished ... Keep up the good work!
What kind of fender will you be using up front?Marco
