  • honda shadow 1100 info?

Going with the father in law to check out a 2002 honda shadow sabre 1100 tomorrow. Any thoughts? He's about 6 foot tall and wants to do a mix of crusin around town and some longer trips. Any mechanical problems these are known for?

    thanks

I think they are known for being reliable.

If it looks good, buy it.

When i bought my xs1100 for $500 (not running), they also had a 2002 shadow (i think it was the sabre, the sportier one) for $1200. I should be shot for not buying it but i had a connection with the xs cause i had rode it when i was real young in a field. The guy who owned them had died and they sold his stuff CHEAP. I rode the shadow and it rode great. It doesnt have near the power of the xs but still a great bike and sounded great. It was the orange color with kinda like ghost flames, think it was factory paint.
