Bought a 2009 DL650(Vee-Strom) today.Wow,what a smooth running bike.and it handles the twisties effortlessly, even two up.Ton's of torque. The only problem that I can find is,there is quite a bit of wind noise and buffeting with the stock shield. But after doing my homework on this bike,I already knew that before I test drove it.I already ordered a new larger shield, trunk, and crash bars,(for the occasional off road rides). Will be getting side cases eventually.

yea,I tossed and turned, with many sleepless nights, and many nights of research, before coming to the conclusion that this is the bike for me.Engine is almost bullet proof, rides like a caddy, handles like a porche, and best of all....the wife said I could buy it.

          Congrats

          Hi John,

Congrats on the new acquisition. To me, that's a great choice. Versatile, fun, good for touring and other rides. Enjoy.

Alright ...Very nice choice...I've test ridden the weestrom and really loved it..at first glance it isnt the prettiest bike out there but after one ride its all love. A Maastad windscreen will improve the aerodynamics..and if you really want to tour with it then upgrade the front suspension as its a little weak for hwy touring...otherwise its good to go...

yup,I will be upgradeing the suspension in the future due to two up.I am told the springs are set up for a 155 lb rider, that's not me.I already have a new madstad on order along with a MRA vario touring shield.(The windshield is the weak part of the bike) very noisy wind and alot of buffeting.Just received the Givi sidecases, also ordered a Coocase S-50 w/ lights, and Motech crashbars.Thank's for all the compliments, really is a great bike. When I get all the farkles on it,I'll post another pic.Even with the suspension as is,it rides very comfortable and handles very good.

Mad max, well said,I think the little bugger is quite ugly, and most long time owners say the same, but take it for a ride, and you fall in love all over again. It's very much like the XS,doesn't do anything great, but does everything very well, even does offroad,"ok".

Hey Cuda fortunately you can not see the Ugly from the riding position
I agree it is an excellent bike.

Think I'm just getting used to it Phil, spent about 200 mi. in the saddle this weekend, what a great bike, comfortable, smooth running and just a fun easy riding bike.My riding partner this weekend has a Harley electa glide, guess who was leading the whole ride? He also owns a beemer, and he was kicking himself the whole ride for not bringing it.LOL
