Today and tomorrow there is a dealershow at the fairgrounds at Gray,TN.I looked at the new Hondas,Suzukis,Kawaskis,Triumphs,Harleys,Buels and Big Dogs. There were more than a few that caught my eye.The Triumph Bonneville T 100 and the Suzuki Burgman were 2.I could be prefectly happy with either.Give the Burgman a good look when you get a chance the same for the Bonneville.Getting the itch again O no.Nice to look and keep up with what is going on.

dealer expo
we just had a similar show here in indy 2 weeks ago. it was pretty cool to see all the new models. to me there seemed to be a real shortage of true standard street bikes. everything has gone cafe racer or cruiser. honda killed the nighthawk 750, the triumph still has the bonny which looks great but i am taken with the suzuki v-strom 1000.

standard street bikes
Now that you mention it there is a lack of them. Most you see are crusiers, some I like others I just care much about.Whats the deal about the oversized chrome headlight?Don`t they know that in bright sunlight the glare off of that can distract a rider.Funny thing the only standards I saw were the Bonneville and the basic HD sportster.I guess bueaty is in the eye of the beholder.Bill Harvell

Another thing that is missing (not that I'd buy one) is small bikes like the ones I started with. Anthing under 600cc in a scooter and I'd question the manhood of any guy that would ride one of those. ;o)
GeezerHi my name is Tony and I'm a bikeoholic.
The old gray biker ain't what he used to be.

There were a few small bikes.Suzuki 250s a 650 Savage and the Kawaski 500 mini. crusier and 250 Ninja. When I first learned how to ride, I did on a Suzuki TS 100,back in 73.The 250 Ninja is a very good bike{I used to own one}rode the parkway and thru the smokeys.Light on gas but for me a little cramped.Got gas mileage in the low 60s and with a 4.5 gal. tank had good range. The Burgman that caught my eye was the 650.Hard to think they weigh over 500 pounds. All the beginners need something light and easy to handle.Bill Harvell
