I couldn't pass this up. Wife says the XS's are too peppy and uncomfortable for her to ride on. I've been watching this one for three years. It's been sitting in a storage unit, fully restored and no one interested in it. I made a ridiculous offer and the guy's wife made him take it, so they can get passed it to the stuff in the unit. We used one of my batteries and it started right up even with bad gas. Runs like a top.

cool
Thanx man. I've just taken it it for one short ride before the weather turned and it handles like a big wet spoonge in comparison to the XS's. It will take some getting used to, riding a "bat cycle", but will be nice to be tucked behind a full fairing for a change on the long rides. After a full day on the xs's, I always had a stiff neck and shoulders from fighting the wind. Not sure what I'll do with it when I get the E up and restored with a full Pacifico on it. I'm sure it won't be spoonge like, but this is a pretty bike too. I like how all the lines flow together. Very pleasing to the eye. Even the wife liked it's looks.mack

Does that stereo block your view of the gauges? I have the black version of your bike. I found that at 30 mph of faster it handles as well or better than the XS11 but at parking lot speeds it's a real beast. Once it starts to fall over it's hard to stop.Ty

Thats a very cool machine! Big and heavy and you'll love the open road even more...can you say smoooooth? A V4 engine has lots of torque...and its the same motor (slightly detuned) as the VMax.1980 XS650G Special-Two
