How many own dirtbikes/and what kind?

I still got my '77 XT 500 (4-stroke)and a '84 IT 200....the 500 runs but the IT is blowed up for now.
If it wasn't for the left hand drive swingarm I woulda put the ole 500 motor on that frame by now

I don`t know if that motor would fit in the IT frame or not.You might be able to flip the swingarm and move the chain side to where you want it.Would mean flipping the rear supension linkage around.Might work but would take some doing.Would make a interesting project.Food for thought.Good luck.

I've got a 1993 RM 125. It would be nice to have something a little bigger in a four stroke. Most of the riding I do is in sand and the lack of tourque sometimes throws me.... into the sand of course.

It would take more than just flipping it over cause it has an offset to it that would make it track funny.
I know I could do it somehow but really don't care that much anymore......

It sounds like backburner stuff.I don`t blame you a bit.You could fix your IT,if you can get parts and feel like fooling with it.Might be the safer way to do things.Upgrade your 500,that would be your best bet.You know what you want for it.Would still take some work.Take care.

The new 250 four strokes are supposed to work well.Check them out.I ride a 501 Husaberg which suites me good.It all depends on what you are looking for.Stay in touch.

I have a 1981 Yamaha XT250 four stroke Dirt/Enduro bike. I ride it around town since I haven't been riding long its a great bike to learn on.
