just bought a 86 suzuki 550L. really nice bike.23xxx miles. the problem is when you push the starter button nothing, absolutley nothing. all the lights come on, turn signals work,horn blows. any ideas where to start or what to look for? btw it's all orignal $350.00 thanks for any help you can offer !

installed a hyperpak on the 550 today and still no spark. 12 volt at the coils pick up coils? i dont know. thanks!

Hi 'bird,
it's gone from no crank to no spark. Does it crank now but no spark?
Didja try pulling the plugs, laying them atop the engine with the plug wires on, turning the iggy on, pushing the bike along in 2nd (or does it have a kicker?) and watching for sparks?
Details, need details.

gs 550

a buddy of mine has a gs 650. the clutch has to be pulled in to start the bike i would check that switch and wiring.
