Friend of mine has a Honda st90 (1974) that is need of a coil-pac, I've been scanning ebay for a month now and none have come up for bidding, perhaps there is an aftermarket replacement, guess the next step is the salvage yards unless someone has one for sale?

Bruce thats only a 1 cylinder wont and 1 cyl bike coil work i would talk to TOADS in dartmouth, i bet any single cyl bike coil would work HTH ......MITCH

I will get ahold of my friend and let him know about the coil on ebay.....thanx Mitch and Jerry for the input ...the coil is all the bike needs to run....odd looking bike, half mini bike half dirt bike.

heck, I had a '69 CT 90 that I sold before I left Arizona last year. Wouldn't mind getting a later model, mine had the "link" front suspension instead of the telescopic forks of the later production. These are getting to have a cult bike status, but are still fun to putt around on.

Do any of you remember or own a honda trail 90,the step thru with the gas tank under the seat,also the large rake on the back?The last one I saw like that was a 110cc model.

The very first motorized two wheeler I ever rode. It was gold in color. Didn't it have a thumb lever for the throttle, or was that just on the snowmobiles I was riding back then? We used to ride the trail 90 on hard packed snowmobile tracks. That was a blast!

Any coil off a single cylinder bike will work.That should help some.Most singles at that time were 6v but if you can`t find a 6v coil,you can use a 12v.Both will work.Might have to do some fiddling to make it fit right but it will work.I have a coil on a 73 Suzuki TC 100 that should work,let me know if you need it. Keep the rubberside down

Thanks Bill and to all the respondents to this thread, my friend will be able to bring his Honda back to life again. Amazing is'nt it, as individuals we have a certain amount of knowhow, skill, the wherewithall to solve problems and to find creative solutions......yet others who may not have all the skills, know the avenues or routes to solve problems.........you know where I'm going with this! Combined, this XS11.com site could probably put an XS11 on the frigin moon! ..............Throttle up!
