  • picked up the busa

    hey guys,
picked up the hayabusa last week,
its a beautiful bike to ride, plenty of power,
but very ridable, and goes around corners like its on rails.
it took a little to get used to the higher pedal position and
leaning over the tank, about half way home my butt was
aching like it would on the xs but after a cpl of leg stretches
while riding the soreness went away unlike the xs lol
i was expecting sore wrists but that never happened, after riding
for more than 4 hrs i felt a bit tight between the shoulders but
nothing to drastic, i was very surprised how comfortable the ride
    was.
heres some pics of the bike,

    Nice Bike ........
Should give you Lots O' Fun. I've wanted to try a Hayabusa but haven't had the opportunity. Bike is a bit heavy for a pure adrenaline sport bike but see you are more setup for Sport Touring anyways. Likely it is very easy to roll faster than you want.

Now you need to plan a trip so you can give us a Ride Report. That more 'forward' sport riding isn't bad for long distance once you figure out how make slight adjustments in the riding position to relieve any muscle cramps. So, take a romp down to Alpine Way and let us know how the Busa works out + post some pics. (you sure have some fantastic roads to ride especially south & SW of you and the busa will be nice in the twisty's and awesome in the sweepers)!

    Ride Safe

      Nice pete

You will definitely get where you are going faster!

I like the additional safety features, like a rollbar

        Cool bike man!
Healthy is merely the slowest rate at which you can die

Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I’ve always believed this, in spite of the trouble it’s caused me. thanx guys,

not sure about the fastest bike these days
i think the kwaka 1400 is, tho there both up there.
but after 2000 all bikes were restricted to
around 186mph, the restrictions can be removed tho.

                Hyabusa

Hay guys, saw the thread and I just had to jump in. Night before last I found some amazing HyabusaHay videos on the web. Looks like fun, on my computer! Just glad I'm past the whole "need for speed" thing!

This first vid shows a Yamaha R1 clipping along at 190 when he gets PASSED!

The second is a turbo Busa - HOLEY CRAP! Watch the tach after the speedo peggs .

I personally would go for a B King over the Busa and retain some of the comfort from the standard position. Nice bike, have fun, be safe!
