Since Ive already mentioned that everyone on these other forums SUCKS, ill refrain from talking about that anymore...
Retapping the rear cylinder head on my buell xb12r ( same basic evo engine as the 1200 sportsters, just reworked ), the cylinder head is aluminum, ive got a helicoil im using to repair a stripped out sparkplug hole ( yet again why i hate having anybody else work on anything of mine ), and it was a bitch to tear down. So im putting in the helicoil, its actually called a perma-coil, same basic principle though, and im wanting to make sure that the coil does not slip lose the next time i go to change my sparkplugs and i have to this all over again. I know, the best way would have been to use a time-sert, but this is the next best thing. Im thinking of using either jb weld or high-temp loctite on the threads of the perma-coil when i install it in the head...any ideas?
