Glad I could be of some use to this site, since I basically know Jack about these fine machines, only what I learned here from you fine folks (can't even trust the manuals!)
+1 on that. Even my "factory" owners manual is wrong on some stuff!

MOOT point, people, MOOT. Webster's dictionary," Moot: (1) To debate or discuss,(3) To make so hypothetical as to deprive of significance: make academic or theoretical."
My spelling anal-ness (not a real word) coming through.

It doesn't look like it hurt the cylinders, but I worry about the lower end with all the metal bits that went 'round down there.. you know.. when it fell over.
This gal is apparently loaded with money, so no telling what she's going to do. They have been making these bikes for a long time and there's a jillion of them out there. Shouldn't be too hard to find a motor, but it might not be much cheaper than buying a whole 'nuther bike.
So what are(is) you (she) going to end up doing with it?
Well, I guess I get to stare at the thing in my shed for a while until she decides to either get another bike or motor. Besides the inside of the motor, the thing looks like it's been babied and honestly looks brand new still. She's never ridden before and this little Rebel was going to be her starter bike.
Most Valves are 2 pieces. The head is fused to the stem. You wack the head with an aluminum hammer (piston) it will break off the stem. This is why Hi performance Automotive valves are 1 piece stainless. They take a better a$$ kicking before breaking or bending
