Ok guys n girls... Anyone ever see one of these before. I have search the world over and nada!! I am trying to find the manufacturer of this scooter and the value. I bought this thing a few years ago at an estate sale in Dallas. When I got it, it looked as if it was never ridden. My son and grandson got it running and scoot around terrorizing the neighborhood ..It's actually pretty fast although it's uglier than my first mother-in-law!! If someone knows what brand it is please let me know. Dale

Greetings Fred
I was able to date the motor to the early 80's but that's about it. It is a pretty cool piece though. Here I have all these nice vintage bikes in my shop and when my visitors see this scooter they freak!! Go figure?? Someone did offer me $50 for it which I politely refused. I reckon it will remain a conversation piece in my shop.. It is kinda fun watching my 37 and 20 year old son and grandson hall ass down the road on this thing!!

I may be wrong but I believe this to be a very rare early edition of the little known Alphonso di Credenza. Originally designed by Giuseppi Gredenza in 1927 and based on drawings attributed to Leonardo da Vinci. Like I said, I could be wrong.1980 XS 1100 Special

right, you are wrong. It's rolling chassis is from a superbly repainted 1934 Spagthorpe Sidewalk Squirrel. Although the Squirrel's original compressed air engine gave it the necessary silent running ability it's range was severely limited by the frame tube air reservoir's low bursting pressure.
The model in the photo has been retrofitted with a small internal combustion engine.Fred Hill, S'toon
