            Fazer

I had one years ago. The guy that sold it to me told me to take my time and get used to it before I opened up the throtle I just laughed and said it wasn't the biggest bike I had ridden I got dressed up for the cold (Ohio at the time) Went out to my regular stomping grounds, looked right, then left, hit the gas and WTF I was trying to get / climb back on so I could get my wrist where I could get off the gas So, I took my time and got used to it before I opened her up again

That's quite a find. I remember when they came out I thought they were the slickest looking bike on the market. Classic Motorcycle Mechanics just did a nice article about those bikes. As much as I liked them, appearantly the public prefered the GSX-R-750 and the GPZ750 and they outsold the Yamaha by quite a bit. There must have been something about those 5 valve heads as Yamha still uses that layout in the FZ1, R1, and the Fazer (in Europe). Pretty impressive H.P. comes out of those 998's
Can't beat the smell of gas & oil

                              Mini V Max

I have owned all 3. The V max (except 1st year model and the new one) is slower in the qtr mile then the XS1100. That Fazer will kick both in the butt
