BMW K1200Lt
G'day, greetings by an XSive from beyond long an distant shores.
Hmmmmmmmm how come there's no K1200LT thread here???
I mean to say.....it just seems the natural progression from an XS to a Beemer K12LT....
Soooooooo it's been from wayyyyyyyyy back in Sept 99 that "The Tardis" last tasted the roads here in sunny Sydney, Oz. The time traveller is still in working order, but mucho rested from it's 21 years on the road with me on top.
Beryl Beemer now has 95500kms on her, with a quick 350kms attached today just poodling around the place. visit the site at http://www.bmwlt.net
Beryl is now well settled down, after numerous teething troubles, as is to be expected I spose from a new born. Can't remember the last hassle I had with her......she just gets new oil/filter every 10,000kms, fuel filter every 2 years, brake and clutch fluid plus gearbox and rear drive oil changed annually, oh yeah and cleaned daily.......MOST important.
Oil filters are a bit rich at $30 each
Oil is $50/5 litres
Tyres every 19,000kms same as the Tardis, but more expensive at $500/set, (although Shane Thomas got about 25,000kms outta his front once on his K12Lt)
Brake pads every 40,000kms ($70/set)
But WTF, it's only money huh??????hehehheheheh
