Modifying Kawasaki Concours gas tank for XS11Special

I've had a 1987 Kawasaki Concours 7and half gallon gas tank, from a Concours, that I once owned new, for 2 years, that I've
saved, since then. For the last few years, I had plotted, on how to fit it on my 81 XS11 Special. Finally, this is gonna happen.
This is a very handsome shaped tank; and will show off the top of the overhead cam engine, better, than the stock 3.9 gallon teardrop tank>because of some work I did to the Concours tank with a torch and hammer>not visible from the outside. This tank, I saved, minus the lid. The following, below>is an email that I've sent to several motorcycle salvage websites>to try to find tank cap assemblage. (Some forum member, might have something like this, in his back yard, or on shelf gathering dust.)

countersunk attachment apparatus. This is probably
a fairly universal size Japanese gas tank

Well, I am not sure about different models of bikes... new to biking, but IF the Concours uses a tank similar to the KZ 1000 Police Special you might want to check out here...

Looks like a very good source for future "things", I might be
looking for.
Have sent them the email inquiry, looking for the tank cap/lid.
They've sold the police special; I think somebody got a good deal
on that...............
