Anyone know much about these bikes? I have been offered one fairly cheap, know they were Suzuki's answer to the Magna, V4 line. Its been sitting for a loong time out in the elements. Wondering if it is worth trying to revive and revitalize.

    Any info appreciated.

I looked at one recently. Seemed like a decent bike. V4, MIC Carbs, Shaft drive. They made 2 models that year, a 700 & 1200.

The one I had a shot at was a 700, sat for 2 years, ran good, in fair condition w/12kmi, he just couldn't produce a title and it had been bought and sold a few times the same way. Owner nowhere to be found.

I've had two of these 1200's. They are decent bikes, The carbs can be a pain to tune, (Like most Bikes). A lot of good smooth power. Kind of have a chopper fill to them.
Parts can be a real pain to get.
I don't know what the price is you are getting it for but if cheep enough it would be a steal.

Good luck with it, and of course Pics if you get it.

      Thanks, Steve

Thanks guys, it is the 700 version. Have not seen anything yet, but he says it sat out for a long time. So cosmetics is probably going to be very rough. We shall see.

I was just trying to see if they had any known big problem areas, like the cylinders tend to wear out quick or the valve train is junk. Big ticket stuff that is known failure points basically.

I probably should scout an exhaust for it. Sitting that much that long it may well be rusted up holes by now.
