  • ok wanna know if a 750xs fits a 1100xs

will a 750 xs gear box and drive train fit into a 1100 engine and frame. instead of me taking both apart wonder if someone knows? besides that if they do fit will the 18" wheel make the clearance in the rear well of the xs1100, has it ever be done? the reasonong for this ? is that im trying to get some enduro tires for my 1100 and mine is a special which only has a 16' so if i can get the 750 drive train and wheel to fit the 1100 then i can buy my tires

The final drive will fit (hence the 750/850 final drive mod for the 1100), but the drive shaft is a different length. I don't think the middle drive will bolt onto the 1100 engine case though.

IIRC, the middle drive IS a bolt up on the 1100 engine. If the 750 swing arm will fit, you could probably use the complete 750 back end to make the swap easy. I have NOT looked at this, but I'll bet someone in the UK probably has.

        Yes

Yes the xs750 tire fits with no problem, because I did it on a xs1100 midnite. There is a long thread, see search, on this exact tire fit I started about two years ago. The xs750 tire, 18 inch, will drop your rpm's on the 1100 about 300 at most speeds. It was great for cruising and higher speeds. ONly drawback is I needed to gun it a bit more on takeoff, but after 2nd gear all was about the same except the rpm was lower. SO, unless the tranny is shot, the xs750 rim is a direct fit,,,slightly narrower tire unless you fit a xs1100 size width on it....good luck,,,check the thread for more info....Mike in Sun Diego
