HI Steve,,,I have an xs750 also but use stock size tires. The best way is to measure what you have on now and also measure the gap to anything that can rub the tire, like swingarm, shocks, etc and then look up the width of the tires you want on a site like Denniskirk.com, or the tires websites which state the widths of the tire sizes you would like............I think the xs750 is a great bike along with our xs1100.........good luck, Mike in Sun Diegomike

Hey Steve,
If you haven't found it yet, there's a site specifically for the Yamaha TRIPLES!
http://yamaha-triples.org/
They would be able to provide more Experience reports on tire widths, and what possible mods you could do to get more room.
But with the 18" rear, I would think there might be a limit on what you can FIND that not being too popular a tire size nowadays!?!?

dunno about the rear but my son's '79 XS750 is wearing a 110/90-19 up front and I doubt you'd get a much thicker than a playing card between the tire and the fender.
But you are going fenderless. That fixes the clearance problem so the limit is how wide of a front tire will go on that skinny front rim and how wide of a rear tire will clear the swingarm.
And don't go riding in the rain, eh? You can't see past the front roostertail no matter how far to the side you lean.Fred Hill, S'toon
