  • 750 virago questions

hey guys n gals, I am looking at purchasing a 93 virago 750. $700.00. Any thing or known issues I should watch for? Bike has around 10,000 miles. looks and sounds great, I think it would be a good purchase but never delt with virago's before. Thanks for the input...

    Hi Gonzo,
I heard tell the starter drive was kinda unreliable.
But there's fixes you can research on the Virago sites.

The starter problems were fixed long before the 90's models rolled out. The later 750 Virago is a good bike if you like that style machine...

The riding position on these bikes makes my middle back hurt. That's part of the reason I'm selling my 94 1100 Virago (the other reason is I could really use the bux...)

            back issues

Yeh me too. I,m 6'5 and I have yet to find anything that fits. I cant list the bikes I,ve had over the years but to no evail. The closest I got was when I built a Softail, that fit but I put too big cubic inch engine and couldn,t get rid of the vibration so I sold that. I,ve been boobing xs 650's and decided to do a wrecked xs 1100. Solo seat, I am going to try forward controls yet but if I dont get comfortable soon it will be for sale also.

I have a set of foot boards with forward controls that I'm thinking about installing on my 79 Standard. That way I could set more forward on the seat where the rider is supposed to go, but there still won't be room for my old lady on the back...
