  • Midnight virago

tomorrow not far from where i live they will be auctioning [according to the listing] a 1984 midnite virago 750. while i am not a fan of the virago, i will probly stop just to have a look.
any of you ever had a midnite virago of that vintage and how did you like it?

    Midnight Virago

They only made a Midnight Special 750 Virago for one year, 1983.
I have a 1982 750 Virago and I enjoy it very much. It is not as much work to pilot as a larger displacement machine, but still plenty of zip.

i sort of thought that the year that they put in the paper ['84] mite have been incorrect. i'm no virago expert. perhaps i'll hang around at that sale to see how much it goes for. maybe i'll have update wed.

I rebuilt one under warranty in 1984, it seemed like an OK bike but I didn't like the bars...

Had a 920 after failing to find a XS1100 in any of the area shops.
Loved it except for that demon LCD dash panel. Worst thing Yamaha ever built and they are still building then in their marine gages.
