    if we lined up

The 05, 1450 cc, 75 ft lbs torque and stock they weight about 650 pounds.

All those cc’s and it does not come close to delivering the power a comparable in-line 4 does and even a stock XS in proper tune should show it nothing but tail lights.

Just a question for the people that ride a Harley -I saw an accident on Saturday and there was a hole in the guys primary where the chain is- disabling the bike. Why is that such a vulnerable spot? The guy had a giant laceration to his arm-it almost looked like someone tried to chop his arm off with an ax.Poor guy but he held the pain pretty good.

Not real a real vulnerable spot, usually lots of other stuff sticking out far enough to take most of the hit, but if you hit hard enough there it pushes the cover into the clutch basket. The primary also holds it's own oil, if the oil leaves the primary, chain adjustment shoe wears down fast.

If he had a belt drive primary, he might have been able to ride it away. If ANY bike went down that hard, I'd think twice about trying to ride off on it. There would be some frame issues I would want to look at BEFORE trying to take off once again, even if it was just to get stitched back together.

Sure, if the cover isn't pushed against the clutch basket= keeping the motor from turning over. If just a hole= when all the oil is gone, only about 10 + or -miles before the chain starts making noise against the cover. You could keep ridin it, we had a guy come frome a shop about 100 miles away like this. They did a service on his bike and forgot to put the oil in the primary= had to replace chain and shoe.

My 80 special has no problems with most of my friends stock harleys but alot of the guys i ride with have the big inch choppers and i do have to admit my xs doesnt have anything for a 126 cubic inch ultima. Those things are crazy fast.
