    not to hijack but I really really want one of those Ural 2 wheel drive side car setups to play with. I know the quality is crap and blah blah but if I could get one used I would be all over it.
    1979 xs1100 Special -
    Stock air box/K&N Filter, MAC 4-2 exhaust, Bad-Boy Air horn, TC fuse box, Windshield, Soft bags, Vetter Fairing, Blinkers->Run/Turn/Brake Lights, Headlight Modulator, hard wire GPS power

    Short Stack - 1981 xs1100 Standard - lowered for SWMBO.

      Hi Brian,
      be careful which one you get. The rigs with a fixed drive can only use the 2wd option on dirt and the rigs with a differential can loose all traction if the sidecar wheel lifts off the ground and spins free, as in a hard right turn. Gotta watch it, is all.
      And the poor quality is a misunderstanding. The Ural is simply NOT a "turn the key and ride it" machine.
      Like any good relationship, it takes work to maintain it.
      Lots of TLC and NOT trying to keep up with highway traffic will keep the Ural running just fine.
