  • Starter clutch repair/replacement

So from my previous post, I picked up a 1972 CL350 in great shape. It has a kick start so I am not too worried, but the starter clutch seems to be failing. This seems to be a common failure point on these old bikes. The kick start has been never been that solid though on them either, so I would like to repair the starter clutch. I am fairly certain I need to remove the one side as well as a rotor of some sort from what I have read, then replace some springs I think. Has anyone any experience with this?

    1972 CL350 - clubmans, Mike's XS coils/condenser, '98 Yamaha R1 rearsets (If I can find some at a decent price)

Should look like other Honda 350 Twins, '64-'74. Located behind the rotor.
