Wow Cnuk that is a steal!! Those are very nice bikes. I've owned two of them in the past. No the same power as the XS11, but very smooth cruiser.

The thing I liked the most about my CB750 was the self adjusting valves. I don't know what year they started this, but when your buddies start playing the "You meet the nicest people on a Honda" crap, just remember it's really "follow the leader, He's on a Honda!"
      Congrats on the great find.

What year did they put self adjusting valves on the CB750? From what I have been reading, they use shims and thier own version of the motion pro tool?

        I had a CB750-4K back in the late 70s, a '78 I think.

My night Hawk was a 96. It had the self adjusting valves. Don't know what year they started though.

Yeah, the customs don't have that. You adjust them just like the XS. Thier tool looks different, but does the same job.

The PO says it runs good, but he hasn't started it in a long time. The tank has a dent in it, and he says the handlebars got bent when it fell over.

Derwat is in Mexico, so I can't get it in the (heated) garage to start going over it.

I will get some pics shortly.

              Nice pickup Crazcnuk.

4 valves/cyl, shims over buckets and chain drive on that one Eh?

Yes, question is does it use the same shims as ours?

Sorry to say, I believe they are 25mm.

At least they're over bucket and not under like a KZ650 I was looking at...

                    Yes, they are 25mm.

Went and gave it a look over, and so far, it needs two screws to hold the taillight lens on, mirrors, a front master cylinder (big crack) and exhaust.

The rest just needs a good cleaning. There is a medium dent in the tank, but oh well.

It has no emblems on the tank, did these have screw on ones or self adhesive?

I believe it had a plastic fuel tank emblem scewed down on the custom.
                      The Supersports were all decals.

The 82 CB900F Supersport I had, everything was a decal as well.

I was asking because this one has no mounts on the tank, so it's likely been 'shaved'.

                          Crazcnuk,
You know the drill...We need some pics. Not sure about Canada, but I thought the nighthawk came out in '82 as a replacement for the custom. Nighthawks had stickers, not emblems.

                            Honda made a few CB750's in '82.

                            CB750C Custom
                            CB750F Supersport
                            CB750K
                            CB750SC Nighthawk

                            Definitely need PICS!

This one is definately a custom. Honda made customs '80-82.

Here is the list, Honda also made the SOHC 750c from 1969-1978.
