I did a USA based Google search for you, and was not able to come up with any XS360 forums at all. I did find parts manuals, and various stories and statistics tho. I do know that if you change from a tubeless rim to a spoked rim, you'll have to run a tube in the tire. Mind you, I have no knowledge of the XS360, so I don't even know if it runs tubed or tubeless.
Good luck on your project

Yamaha likes to use parts that are common to a whole series of bikes.
An example from my own experience is that XS series machines from XS650 up through XS11 all have the same front wheel and can use each other's speedometers.
So a search amongst the smaller Yamaha models may find wire-spoked wheels that will replace your cast wheels.
But will you be allowed to exchange your wheels for different ones? I read that Germany has draconian laws about what can be changed on vehicles.Fred Hill, S'toon

i am not sure about the law, but it should work. the first problem is how to fin any spoke wheels (how do you say? spoked rims spokes wheels...????)
on which things do i have to pay attention if i search wheels of other bikes?
i dont have to use the original xs 360 wheels, i just want to have spoked wheels which work on my bike!

I say "wire wheels" for wheels that have a separate rim and hub with wire spokes in tension and "cast wheels" for one piece aluminum wheels.
There are also composite wheels like Honda's "Comstar" but you don't want those, right?
Things to determine to see if a different wheel can fit.
Rim diameter:- bigger may not fit under the fender. Bigger or smaller will change the steering geometry.
Axle width, diameter and fit-up need to be compatible with the forks.
Brake disk or brake drum must also work in your forks.
Seems like all Yamaha wheels have the same speedo drive ratio but perhaps drives on wheels from other makes will have different ratios that will give bad readings on your speedo.Fred Hill, S'toon

So if I've got your story straight, your looking for some wire wheels like the first picture to get rid of the cast wheels like the second picture. It looks like they were available with both types of wheels so it should be easy to find either type. Here is a XS400 blog page that may help. http://xs400.blogspot.com/
As Fred would call them "wire wheels".
And Fred would call these "cast wheels".

not to confuse our Felix who is working in a second language, but us old farts also refer to straight-spoked cast wheels as "Artillery Wheels."Fred Hill, S'toon

There are several sets on ebay for the xs400, but I noticed that all the front wire wheels have drum brakes. The xs360 came with a front disc brake right?
