'82 kawasaki 1100 Sabre fork seals

    Anyone ever taken these apart?
    Need to change fork seals.
Looks similar to the xs but way different too.
I have the Clymer manual so not too scared, but could use some encouragement and moral support.
Is it possible to cheat and just pull the tube off the bottom?

They dont look much different than the XS11's forks unless they have the antidive option.

Looks like you could leave the uppers in the triple tree(I normally do unless replacing steering bearings). Remove the lowers, take out the damper rod & spring to clean them, replace the seals and re-assemble.

      Thanks

Thats what I thought too after looking at the exploded picture in the clymer.
It doesnt have the anti-dive setup so appears that the lowers can be pulled off the bottom.
Gonna dive into it next week and see what I find out.
      Thanks again
