    I've a neighbor down the street who wants to unload his 850. He's the original owner and has only put 8,000 miles on her. Looks in pretty good shape. I could probably could get if for under $700.

    Looks a whole lot like an XS. I guess all the models back them looked much alike. Any unique problems anyone is aware of?

    It looks like a real gem but I don't really want it. But if the price is right.

    Of course if I pick this up I'll have to dispose of my parter.

    Good trade

    Not much ever went wrong with those. Drivelines were plenty strong enough for engine output. Easily do 100k+ with basic maintenance. Bike may give less trouble than partner

      The one thing they were known for is charge system failure. There are old original and new after market parts out there just check their web page.

      SWMBO rides an 82, it's almost bullet proof, a very smooth, refined bike for it's day.
