I was just given a 'free' bike (well, some of it) and I'm trying to figure out what it is. Sorry, no pics....
The motor, exhaust, and tank are gone. It's a Yammy, probably around 1981 in vintage as the build date is given as 10/80. Serial number is JYA4H700-9-BA110***. Still has some good parts. And it's definitely a 'Special', with the round headlight, offset front forks, and buckhorn bars. As to what's left:
Was a inline 4-cylinder, as the coils and part of the airbox are still hanging on it. Shaft drive, and the final drive unit looks 'similar' to the XS11 unit but not identical. Rear drum brake, single disc front (and the rotor looks the same as my 11 unit). Wheels are 19" front, 16" rear, and have 'swept' spokes like the maxim. Gauges are round with a flat on the bottom (85 mph speedo). Taillight is somewhat weird looking, as the lens is sitting on a 'shelf' mount. Aluminum grab rail.
Anybody know what this is? Thanks!
