  • victory?

Well, I've been lookin at bikes for a while.I'd like something new that is well balanced and rides nice.I've looked at Hondas,Harleys, and Victory's at dealers.I looked at Yamahas and Suzukis on line and arent impressed with them.
I know the XS is a Yamaha, and I like it.I will probably keep the XS.Its just that it is not real comfortable on long rides.
I was at the Victory dealer today and think I might buy a Kingpin. They have some 08's and also are offreing until next week a 5 year warranty.PLus $1000 off the price.
So just thought I'd ask if anyone has any input about this?

    Thanks
    Rick

      Hey Tarzan,

You can make your XS11 much more comfortable with just a few mods, like a better seat, different footpegs/location, a back rest, different bars/grips. A lot cheaper than a whole new bike, insurance, etc.!?

From what I understand, the Victories get really good fuel mileage....

Other than that, I haven't seen a bike (new) that i really liked since the '85-86 Shadow...
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

One of the guys I work with had to pickup his fathers 1998 Victory since he's to old to ride now. He said it is lacking in the power department, but that was their first year and they may have improved over 10 years.

I saw a Victory in my town last summer. The guy said it was 1680 cc's or something like that. I thought it looked awesome.

Saw a few more that I like this past weekend at my local Yamaha dealer.

If I were to ever buy one, I'd go with something like this one. I hate the long fat exhaust pipes I've seen on some of them as well as the large new Yamaha's.

                I gave in to temptation!

I rode it and couldn't help myself. It is very well balanced and handles nice.No its no crotch rocket but has plenty of power. It has the 92cu motor, fuel injected.
                Its a 2005 Victory,Kingpin Deluxe

I pick it up at the end of the week.

                    Victory

I have not owned one, however I have riden three different,
Victorys and liked them. I put about five hundred miles on
a Kingpin similar to your pics. It had stage one pipes and
re-map. Nice bike. You could do a lot worse.
