I see in your profile that you have a 96 Royal Star. One of the moerators will probably move this post to the "Other Bikes" area, as this section is for XS11 and XJ11 stuff. Folks that know alot more about the Royal Star line may see this in the other area.
So this beast has a hydraulic clutch right? You say you bled it. The brief description you give sounds like it is stalling out when you put it in gear like the clutch is not disengaged. I don't know alot about hydraulic clutches on these bikes, but from my experience with cages, I would say look at your slave cylinder (the one at the clutch).Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

I have a dumb question, does it have a sidestand switch? some bikes have a switch that if the side stand is down will kill the engine if put in gear. check if you have one, check with stand up and down, could be a bad switch. have a nice day and ride safe
