The modern factory custom.... Anyway i took one of these for a ride today, it had 23 miles on it. Our new Victory Dealer had an open house. I got it up to 90mph, found vibration and sound to be excellent (not much of each!).

    My ratings:

    Power
    Shifting
    Looks
    Riding position
Handling (come on it's a cruiser)
    Seat
    Price ($15K)

Overall rating..... , I could own this bike, (if it had a windshield and a different seat) a vast improvement over the Victory I rode two years ago.

Officially it is around 70HP, it did not seem slow to me...it was not a speed demon either. It had excellent acceleration and seemed to be very smooth for a cruiser....

        Talking Torque

Bit of a different animal to the XS11 eh?

I suppose a cruisers strength is in that fantastic feeling of torque when you pull away and the ride comfort at 'cruising' speeds. No real comparison to drag strip accelerations and speeds

        As Shack says......

In fact I have an old '79 Guzzi (OK not really a cruiser) and did around 200 miles of minor British roads last weekend on it (with camping gear on the back). Certainly not a drag racer and strip times pretty irrelevant - but that pull as you accelerate away and the Guzzi sound makes it a great bike to ride - but not race anyone!

It's all about torque for me not 1/4 mile times .......else I'd be on a 'Plastic Fantastic' crotch rocket I suppose.

UK, You just gotta fix up the guzzi some...
A friend has a 850 LM mk1... just a bit tuned up, it has bout 100HP. Feels like a 140kg when you ride it. Dunno the real weight coz of the mods.

If it doesn't have an engine, it's not a sport, it's only a game.

            Guzzi Performance

            Strom

Your mates Guzzi sounds like a lot of fun.

Met a guy over here who runs an old 850T - earlier than the t3 tourer, so ...'75 / 76? maybe.

Anyway it certainly picks up it's skirts and gets a move on with the supercharger he's fitted. His main game now is to come back from camping weekends with all the gear / girlfriend on the back and blast past sports bikes...... they don't know what's hit them
