I am considering the purchase of a 2nd bike while I work on the XS. My $$ won't allow me to go new. I've been looking at the mid 80's Vulcan 1100, Shadow 1100, or V45 Magna. Anyone have any experiences with these? I'm particularly concerned with the power/torque with the v-twins. Are they strong motors relative to the current times? My concern with the power (knowing they will be less so than the XS) is that the only v-twin I've ridden was a Vulcan 1500, which is very torquey. I doubt the 1100's will quite match that, but are they doggy? Any other info on these bikes, or if you have a suggestion on another would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

Magnas were V4...
Get am old ZX900-R (80s model). No point in having two bikes later on and none of them corners like it should.
LPIf it doesn't have an engine, it's not a sport, it's only a game.

I know V45 is V-4, wasn't necessarily looking for a V-twin, just like the sound, but friend has a V65, and I also like the Magna's, plus they fit the budget. Not lookin for a sport bike, but if I was I would prolly go for the fj1200 or fz750, also like the late 80's early 90's zx10 and 11. This second bike is temporary at this point, until I get the XS restored, but who knows. Any sport bike would be temp. though. Fun for awhile, but just doesn't fit my riding style.
