      Hi T'dog,
      nah, that there 1/4-26 BSF thread is in the end of the camshaft. To modify it to 1/4-28 UNF to suit a locally available fastener would involve an engine teardown and calling in a favour from my "bro with lathe". It's far easier to pay full whack plus shipping for a BSF fastener from a Britbike store.

        Strange but true, some of the early 80's Pontiac Grand Prix's had some British fasteners on them from the factory you might check the junk yards.
