When I bent the valves on the start of the ride to the east rally I decided I needed something to ride. That was Friday. Sunday we brought home an 84 1000 Virago. The idea was that I would use it plus do a bit to it till my sg was fixed. I did manage to blow off both side covers ( I don't think the bike had been over 100kms\hr in a long time. I have managed to buy a couple of chromed ones on ebay and new rubber grommets. But I think I will still wire them using wire fishing leader as I know they are often lost on this model. I have also got Kathi thinking about redoing the gold trim ( we both hate it plus it is in poor condition) I thought I had her talked into pink but I guess not. Oh well it is hers now. Oh yeah she will be selling her 400 maxim as well. It won't be cheap though as it is really a nice looking and working bike.
