Over on the VMax forum there is an entire chat room devoted to "the new Max." People debating how much HP it will have, etc. It is/will be a fantastic bike. Most of the VMax crowd are hoping that it will be a Ninja and Busa beater. Consequently, many are unloading their Maxes right now in anticipation.

Yes she sure is purty. But I don't think that I'll be waiting inline for one,, maybe a couple of years down the road after the bugs are worked out. I think that I would be satisfied with an old VMAX. Heck the XS is fast enough for me,, I got two tickets in a three month period after returning to the fold after a 23 year absence, from the ole XS. Had lots of bikes in between, but its like a snicker's bar. Nothing else satisfies, except the maybe the '67 FLH chopped. That was a good one. Could kick start it with my hand.. lol. But all in all, over all the Queen of all motorcycle in my opinion is still the XS1100 Yamaha. I feel like I am 20 years old again. Who need drugs with a rush like that. It lasts for hours.
Peace BrothersIf I knew I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself..

There are several things that suck, in the following order:
1. price
2. speed limited to 220km/h "(*Disclaimer: The VMAX has a governed top speed of 220km/h, by a smart system, that still allows a complete ΒΌ mile run under full acceleration)"
3. weight
Everything else is mind blowing.1985 Yamaha VMX12n "Max X" - Stock
