  • lowering the front only 1" effects?

Hey, I've got a shadow 500 that SWMBO rides and I learned on. Anyways the forks were leaking and so I took them apart and found one fork tube is bent. I found a good deal on some that are the right diameter but are 1" shorter. Anyone know what kind of effect lowering the front of the bike 1" will have?

Lowering the front of your bike will lower the center of gravity some and cause the bike to steer easier, good on cruisers, not usually good on sport bikes. Your Shadow has so much rake, with only 1 inch, you would probably not even feel a difference.
Your bike would feel a little lower to the ground, new riders usualy like that.
