xj 700 run problem

abused 85 xj 700 maxim aquired last fall. poor thing was left with fuel in for a couple of years b4 i got it. cleaned carbs, and and creamed the tank.

cannot get to idle runs at half throttle and above, after a little priming and warm temp, also dosent seam to fill fuel fillter even when running. any ideas or where i can find information for this bird?

Haven't found anything like our site for this bike. trying to get together for my wife, new rider and 11 too big for her. Besides it's my "girlfriend" as she calls it.

If it's a Mukuni carb....

It's probably the idle jet that's located in the bowl...

Kitchen table....

Taking the bowls off is easy and the kitchen table is the perfect place to do carb cleaning.....
