I have cleaned the carbs and slides thoroughly and they still stick. I cannot afford to replace them and I absolutely have to fix them. Is there a way? They are CV type carbs. Thanks in advance.

I DO NOT think you have a "sticking" slide. The problem you discussed is probably a bank of carbs NOT synced to the engine.
