1982 Katana manual

The wheels are definitely 83's. They are the same as mine. The 83, 4 valve motors were black, also.

83 was a good year for bikes, 4 of mine were 83's, at least, the motors anyway.

AW . .so you do have an "E" model. I didn't know you had an Katana 11. You still use it?

No, it wasn't a Katana, it was an "S", Wes Cooley rep, with an 83 1100E motor.



It was for Suzuki what the Eddie Lawson replica was for Kawasaki. Mine was all black though, so nobody knew it's true origins. It had been rolled by the first owner, then resurrected by my buddy Mel, who at one time, also had an 82 Katana 1100 motor in it. Sold it only 7 months after I bought it for financial reasons.

Nice looking bike !!!
This 750 will be a good around town bike for me and needs only cosmetic work and tires. Engine is very smooth sounding and was in use as little as 2 years ago.

New Question ... Main Stand

New Question.
Does anyone know if other 750 or even 1100 model main center stands will fit the Katana. I don't have a main stand and one be needed.

Bikebandit has the same part # for the 750 Kat, 1100 Kat, and the GS750T for 1983. This probably doesn't help a lot, since the other two bikes aren't exactly growing on trees either nowadays.

Yeah I was over at Bike Bandit and still can't find a 1982 Katana so referred to the 1983 "SD" model and they want close to 100 bucks for that stand so that's a NO WAY thing. I think I would be further ahead to grab an engine stand at Princess and free up my bike stand for the Katana and still be ahead. I will however keep my eyes peeled for a stand of have one made for it when I get my XS frame wielding done.
I can see that these puppies are in deed rare.

I still have not found a manual for this bike but have found some parts including a new rear fender :-)
